I’m going to be OK.

A simple statement, but definitely a lot of joy in it.

  • New job means more financial stability. This puts me so much at ease, I’m almost ashamed. The new job is also more in line with work I’d love to keep doing. My new employer also keeps reassuring me that there is room for more permanent employment in the future. Which means BENEFITS. Which means not having to freak out over finding a clinic that will immediately admit me when something is wrong.
  • Still plugging along at my current retail job. I meet interesting people and get to wear awesome spectacles. I shouldn’t complain.
  • Doing journalism work for two very different publications. (One is a freelance gig, the other is volunteer work; both fun.)
  • Also contacted for another paid internship. I’ll worry about how to fit that into my already packed schedule later.
  • One of the issues from my first and last semester as [X]press art director is an ACP Pacemaker finalist. I had a silly grin on my face when I heard the good news. Funny how things like that still matter so much.
