I don’t really like most parties. Too many people. Lots of noise. I’m all for quiet evenings in or out with just a handful of people. With board games or a movie and/or a bottle of wine. Or hard cider (I like sweet things). I’m not a very loud person, and when things are busy I tend to will myself into the background. 

Anyway, this party. Most of the people don’t drink, which is fine. Which is great. I do find that a bit refreshing.

But I will be bringing a flask of rum. To get through the evening, of course.
