Before I forget! Something I recently discovered:
My store is located on historic Maiden Lane, a small stretch of a street that is now as high-end as you can possibly get in San Francisco. It boasts the Xanadu Gallery, the only building in San Francisco built by Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s nearly as old as the city.
However, more than one hundred years ago, Maiden Lane was once Morton Street, the city’s most depraved and popular red light district. Murder occurred nearly once a week in the late 19th century.
You’ve come a long way, Maiden Lane.
And if you spy the “OPTICIANS” sign in the photo above, that is where I work.
If I can’t see the OPTICIANS sign, does that mean I need glasses?
