The original song was recorded in 1966 by Cher, then covered by Nancy Sinatra in the same year. And it looks like Pan Ron, a Cambodian singer from the same era, also did a version of it, called “Snaeha,” which I think means “love.” You may find it on the CD “Dengue Fever Presents: Electric Cambodia,” a compilation of songs from old Cambodian tapes.
