The one that makes me scream,” she said.
“The one that makes me laugh,” she said.
And threw her arms around my neck
“Show me how you do it,
And I promise you, I promise that
I’ll run away with you,
I’ll run away with you.”
Spinning on that dizzy edge
I kissed her face and kissed her head
And dreamed of all the different ways I had
To make her glow
“Why are you so far away?” she said,
“Why won’t you ever know that I’m in love with you,
That I’m in love with you.”
You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You
Strange as angels
Dancing in the deepest oceans
Twisting in the water
You’re just like a dream
Daylight licked me into shape
I must have been asleep for days
And moving lips to breathe her name
I opened up my eyes
And found myself alone, alone,
Alone above a raging sea
That stole the only girl I loved
And drowned her deep inside of me
You
Soft and only
You
Lost and lonely
You

I would very much like to go to Six Flags on Friday, but as of right now it seems that the only people available to go for certain are Mare and myself. While that will most likely be entertaining, I always enjoyed going to amusement parks with a group of 4 or more people.
Ah, well. The week is still fairly young, I suppose. I hope a couple of other people jump on our bandwagon.

I’ve been writing in clichés lately. This upsets only because it feels to me as if this summer, while it has been fun, has also reduced my brain to mere fodder.
I feel terribly slow.

Summer highlights:
- The Comedy & Magic Club on June 7 with Matt, Angela, Kathy, Nancy and David.
- Party at Heather’s house, where I got ridiculously drunk. My newspaper buddies and the guys finally met.
- Vegas with the Doi, June 22-24, with Mare and David.
- Bonfire at Huntington Beach on June 30 with the guys, and a few other random people.
- Watching a UFC fight at National’s with Matt and Nancy.
- Tony’s birthday at Dave & Buster’s at the Irvine Spectrum.
- MOTHERFUCKIN’ COMIC-CON from July 26-29 with Chris, LJ and Laurent. I FINALLY SAW NEIL GAIMAN.
- Party in Northridge on August 3 at Mare’s place with the guys. Saw Willie!
- Bonfire, part 2, on August 10 at Dockweiler Beach with the guys.
- Celebrating CJ’s birthday on August 13 at D&B’s at the Block in Orange with the guys. Randomly ran into superfriend Paul there.
- Dinner at El Pollo Inka for Lilly’s birthday on August 16 with Tony, Keith, Mare, Willie and David.
- Party on August 17 at Mare’s. I didn’t drink, but David and I found a tiny kitten.
- Party on August 18 at Mare’s. I was wasted enough to start singing karaoke. Mare, Richard, Willie and myself didn’t go to bed till 8 a.m.
To that long, fine list I would like to add Six Flags. And perhaps one last party before school begins on Monday.
